Requirements

In this role, you will serve as the welcoming face of the state park office, greeting visitors, answering questions, and providing essential information to help guests enjoy their park experience. You will manage a high volume of in-person and telephone inquiries, distribute brochures and literature, and direct visitors to appropriate park locations. A key part of your daily responsibilities includes operating the Parks Reservation and Revenue System to make, modify, and cancel reservations for cabins, campsites, and shelters, as well as registering arriving guests and maintaining accurate logs and revenue records. You will also reconcile daily receipts, process refunds according to established procedures, and complete credit card settlements to ensure all financial transactions are accurate and properly documented.

Beyond visitor services and reservation management, you will support the smooth operation of the park office by operating standard office equipment, maintaining organized physical and electronic files, and preparing correspondence using templates or drafted responses. You will assist park staff by completing supply inventories, tracking lost and found items, and responding to instructions from managers and administrative personnel. As needed, you may help orient new clerical staff to office procedures. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately April 2026, until December 2026, at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.

Upon successful completion of probationary period, the employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately April 2027.

  • Work days and shifts will vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include holidays and weekends.
