You'll work closely with experts to prioritize tasks, prepare reports, and document changes to keep programs running smoothly.
It's a great fit for someone detail-focused with experience in business analysis who wants to make a real difference in public health services.
Are you looking for a stimulating and rewarding career opportunity where you can showcase your expertise, take on meaningful responsibility, and collaborate closely with division directors and section chiefs in a supportive and appreciative environment?
The Department of Human Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst 2 to join our Division of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), Monitoring and Oversight team.

If you are ready to begin the next chapter of your career and make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply and take the next step in your professional journey!

In this position, you will interpret federally mandated initiatives from the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and evaluate their impact on DHS.
A key responsibility will be supporting the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS), a CMS requirement that directly affects DHS’s Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP).
Because CMS may impose a reduction in FMAP if T-MSIS requirements are not met, this position carries a high level of accountability and responsibility.
You will support management and administrative reporting efforts and contribute to the development of advance planning documents (APDs) and implementation APDs (IAPDs).
Additional duties include assisting with the T-MSIS change order workload, prioritizing requests based on data quality issues, and coordinating appropriate staffing assignments in collaboration with subject matter experts in the Bureau of Data and Claims Management across multiple divisions.
In addition, you will prepare status reports and maintain comprehensive project and change order documentation to ensure transparency and effective oversight.
