Full Job Description

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is searching for a Business Analyst 2 to join the Bureau of Automated Services. The Division of Data Resources is responsible for building and maintaining custom applications for the agency and manages enterprise data to ensure information is accessible, accurate, and meaningful for staff. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your specialized skill set as you serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business program areas. Requirements

As a Business Analyst 2, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, resolving system and process issues, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and providing ongoing user support. Work involves supporting the development and enhancement of complex information technology systems through activities such as requirements elicitation, business process and interface design, test case development, facilitation and coordination of system and user acceptance testing, documentation creation, and knowledge transfer. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with application developers, database administrators, and technical support staff to accurately convey system needs, conduct product demonstrations, and ensure expectations are clearly defined and met.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Business Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as an Information Technology Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Five years of business process analysis experience; or
  • One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
