Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes processing or reconciling collections and payments from various sources such as third-party insurance, the center for Medicare & Medicaid services, or other federal or state agencies, keeping an updated record of all transactions utilizing financial accounting system databases such as General Fund Enterprise Business Systems(GFEBS); and performing in-depth analysis of budget requests to make informed decisions to a budget officer.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
