The Business Enterprise Program (BEP) at the SCCB helps eligible individuals become entrepreneurs by training, licensing, and equipping them to operate a snack bar, cafeteria, rest stop, or other vending facility within the state.
The SCCB is currently recruiting for a BEP Quality Assurance Specialist in the Charleston, SC, area.
As a BEP Quality Assurance Specialist, you will ensure that vending facilities operated by BLVs comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
Additionally, you will work closely with BLVs, property managers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and foster effective communication.
Your expertise will help drive operational success from the bid selection process to managing equipment inventory and ensuring compliance.
The BEP Quality Assurance Specialist is a field-intensive, inspection-driven role responsible for ensuring that all vending and food service facilities operated by Blind Licensed Vendors (BLVs) meet strict compliance standards including those of the Randolph Shepard Act.
This role is heavily focused on in-person site inspections, audits, and other program requirements, with in-state travel making up the majority of work time.
This role requires an attention to detail, a strong grasp of vending facility operational protocols, and the ability to work independently.
The BEP Quality Assurance Specialist will, under general supervision of the Business Enterprise Program Director, safeguard program integrity by ensuring program standards are met by the BLVs across all locations within the given district. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Frequent in-state travel is required.
