Summary

This job is for a bartender at a lounge on a U.S.

Air Force base in Germany, where you'll mix and serve drinks, handle cash, and keep the bar clean and stocked, working flexible hours including nights and weekends.

It's ideal for someone with customer service experience who enjoys working in a social environment and can handle busy, varied shifts. U.S.

citizens or eligible spouses living nearby would be a great fit, especially if they're at least 18 and comfortable spotting and managing intoxicated customers.

Key Requirements

  • Knowledge of mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including proportions and varieties

About the position: This position is located at The Lounge, Club Eifel, Spangdahlem AB, Germany. Flexible position, 0-40 hours per week, days, nights weekends and holidays, Monday - Sunday.

Recruitment limited only to the local commuting area of Spangdahlem. Legal U.S.

residents must possess a social security number or green card and must be: - A US citizen, or - A citizen of NATO country, other than the host country (Germany), and married to an active-duty U.S.

military member. In accordance with the NATO Status of Forces Agreement with Germany, citizens of the host country and citizens of a NATO country not married to an active-duty U.S.

military member are not eligible for US NAF Employment.

Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, including knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures, and recognizing intoxicated patrons and resolving the problem.

Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons. Follow cash handling procedures.

Must meet the appropriate minimum age, 18 years of age, requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.

Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Major Duties:

The Primary Purpose of this position is to mix and serve pre-mixed alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a limited service bar.

Prepares and serves a limited variety of alcoholic drinks: mixed drinks, beer, wine and soda. Receives payments, operates cash register, sets up bar, prepares cash funds documents.

Stocks, cleans and maintains bar area and equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.
