Job Description

Summary

This job is for a bartender at a U.S. Army base who mixes and serves drinks to patrons, handles cash transactions, and keeps the bar area clean and organized.

It involves dealing with customers, including spotting and managing those who might be getting too rowdy or drunk.

A good fit would be someone with prior bar experience, good math skills for billing, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while lifting light weights.

Full Job Description

This position is located at USAG Humphreys, DFMWR, Business Operation Division. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.

Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Major Duties:

  • Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar. Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
  • Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
  • Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
  • Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
