This job is for a bartender at a Marine Corps community center on Camp Foster, where you'll mix and serve drinks, handle payments, keep the bar clean and stocked, and provide friendly service to Marines and their families.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 20 years of age AND have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school (valid documentation will be required upon hire) Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include weekend, holidays and nighttime.
Must be able to perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, and lifting.
Must be able to complete Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively (C.A.R.E) training to assure serving alcohol responsibly, and Sanitation Training.
Must complete Cash Handling Training Course before handling funds and Refresher Course once per year. Skills in preparing beverages according to name request from guests. Knowledge of basic math.
Excellent customer service skills and good communication skills orally and in writing. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.

NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Bartender JOB SERIES: 7405 PAY LEVEL: NA-04 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Mixes and serves premixed alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a full-service bar.
Serves liquor, soda, beer, and wine. Prepares alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks.
Makes sure to serve alcohol beverages only to authorized patrons. Collects payment from customers. Operates Electronic Point of Sales. Makes change and is accountable for cash fund.
Assists in taking inventory and maintaining records. Responsible for ordering and maintaining liquor and bar supplies. Uses dolly to transport beer kegs or other heavy objects.
Keeps bar area clean and keeps area stocked properly at all times. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. May perform other sanitation duties within assigned work area as required.
Waits on customers when necessary. Ensures bar closing procedures are accomplished, and bar is secured at close of operating hours. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as required.
