About the position: The purpose of this position is to mix and serve pre-mixed alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a limited service bar at the Misawa Collocated Club, 35th Force Support Squadron, Misawa AB, Japan.
This is a Flexible category position; Guaranteed 0 hours per week, but may work up to 40 hours per week, depending on the needs of the facility.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public.
Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures to use in preparing beverages highly desired.
Should be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Experience with cash handling procedures is highly desired.
Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds.
Condition(s) of Employment: Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.
Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. May work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
**Non-U.S. Citizens must have resided physically in the United States or U.S. Territory for at least 3 years prior to employment.** Major Duties:
Operates limited service bars. Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Serves beer, soda and wine. Serves patrons directly or delivers to waiter.
Receives payment, operates cash register, and makes and returns change to patrons or waiter. Sets up bar for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area neat and clear.
Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. Stocks service bars and assists higher-level bartender as required. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
