Job Description

Summary

This job is for a bartender at a bowling center on a U.S.

Army base in Virginia, where you'll mix and serve drinks, handle sales and inventory, and keep the bar clean while ensuring patrons behave responsibly.

It's a hands-on role in a busy, casual setting that requires physical stamina and good people skills.

A good fit would be someone with prior bar experience who enjoys interacting with customers and can handle moderate lifting in a military community environment.

This position is located at DFMWR Bowling Center, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Standard Qualifications: 1. Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment. 2.

Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds. 3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. 4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. 5.

Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff. Qualifications must clearly be listed on your Resume to be considered. Major Duties:

  • Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Stocks bar. Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary.
  • Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor. Receives and checks quantity and description of stock.
  • Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.
