This job is for a bartender at a club on a U.S.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Liberty Club on RAF Lakenheath, UK This position required working shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week with no minimum guarantee. Must be physically able to lift objects weighing 5-20 pounds and occasionally lifting over 40 pounds. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 04/14/2026 Citizens, permanent residents, and legal residents of the United States (US) who reside within the local commuting area (60-mile radius) of RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom (UK), or will do so within the next 30 days.
Permanent and legal residents of the US must be citizens of a NATO country, unless authorized to reside in the UK as a dependent of an employee who serves in support of the US Visiting Forces.
Eligible applicants must possess a US-issued social security number and be able to provide documentation proving residency status in the UK. Applicants cannot be 'ordinarily resident'.
A person is considered to be 'ordinarily resident' if they have resided in the United Kingdom (UK) for more than 366 days without an affiliation to the US Visiting Forces.
Time spent in the UK as an employee, or dependent of an employee, of a US agency serving and supporting the US Visiting Forces (i.e., active duty military, federal civilian, AAFES, Red Cross, one of the contract universities, a military banking facility or federal credit union, or US government contractors) is not counted toward being 'ordinary resident'.
In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between the US and the UK, British citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, they may be eligible to apply for local national positions on base.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquor, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit and the ability to mix exotic drinks.
Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures.
Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages. Major Duties:
Operates a full service bar. Mixes and serves all types of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes.
Delivers drinks to bar waiters, or serves directly to patrons. Receives payments or charges to member's account as appropriate. Washes glasses and other bar equipment.
Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks. May help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions. Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts and inventory accountability.
