Summary

This job is for a bartender at an event center on Travis Air Force Base in California, where you'll mix and serve drinks to customers, handle cash, and keep the bar running smoothly.

It's a flexible role with no guaranteed hours, up to 40 per week, and open to anyone who meets the basic experience needs.

Full Job Description

About the position: This position will be assigned to the Delta Breeze Event Center on Travis Air Force Base, CA.

Intermittent (Flexible) employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week.

Eligible to use base facilities such as: Base Exchange (BX), Gym, Outdoor Rec, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and the Arts & Crafts Center. Tuition assistance after one year!

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 01/26/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages; experience in cash handling procedures; experience demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, possess skill in dealing with the public.

Major Duties:

Operates a full service bar. Mixes and serves all types of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes.

Receives payments or charges to member's account as appropriate. Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability.

Accepts money, operates a cash register, and makes change. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
