The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Alaska Military Youth Academy (AMYA), Food Service Section

is recruiting for a Food Service Journey position!

This position is in the Labor, Trades, and Crafts (LTC) bargaining unit at a wage grade 57.

This position is open to Alaska Residents only.

What You Will Be Doing:
You’ll play an important role in providing safe, nutritious meals while helping keep the kitchen clean, efficient, and compliant with program standards. Under the direction of the Lead Cook, you will prepare, cook, and serve large quantities of food using standardized recipes. You’ll follow production worksheets and written instructions to ensure compliance with National School Lunch Program requirements, maintain clean and sanitized kitchen areas and equipment, and communicate regularly with the Lead Cook to receive daily assignments. After training, you’ll work independently and confidently in your role.

The successful applicants must pass a federal background check in order to qualify for military base access, which is required with this position's work location on base.

The background check may include fingerprinting.
