This job involves working on plans and programs to cut down air pollution from things like cars, trucks, planes, and construction equipment in Pennsylvania.
You'll analyze data, team up with other groups, and make sure everything follows environmental rules to keep the air cleaner.
It's a great fit for someone who loves the environment, enjoys working with numbers and data, and wants to make a real difference in public health.

This role involves providing recommendations aimed at minimizing air pollutant emissions from mobile sources, alongside the execution of both mandatory and voluntary initiatives.
The position collaborates with national and regional air quality organizations to address federal air quality concerns related to mobile source emissions, representing the Bureau and the Air Resource Management Division.
This collaboration encompasses active participation in standing committees focused on mobile sources, which are organized through entities such as the Ozone Transport Commission (OTC), the Mid-Atlantic Regional Air Management Association (MARAMA), and the National Association of Clean Air Agencies (NACAA).
Additionally, the role requires the analysis of current mobile source and air pollution emissions data, utilizing various databases, spreadsheets, and computational models to inform State Implementation Plan revisions, regulatory assessments, and program development.
The findings must be presented in a manner that is accessible to the target audience.
Furthermore, the position necessitates the development of technical proficiency in mobile source emissions models that are widely used by the Commonwealth and other state and federal agencies.
Collaboration with Department contractors is also essential, as they provide data and analytical services that aid in the formulation of SIP revisions, regulatory evaluations, and mobile source emissions studies.
Lastly, the role includes the analysis of proposed transportation conformity determinations from transportation planning and general conformity assessments for various federal projects, ensuring compliance with both federal and state regulations, as well as Pennsylvania’s SIP.
