Requirements

Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days a week.

From helping our residents prepare for their day, to encouraging them to participate in exciting activities, you will make a difference each day.

Through positive relationships, you will positively impact the quality of resident's lives by providing the best possible care.


This position is the start of your journey to becoming a Nurse Aide.

You will attend formal classroom training and complete reading assignments, listen to lectures, watch instructional films, observe demonstrations, and role play.

You will also receive on-the-job training assignments to develop knowledge, skills, abilities, and focus necessary to provide non-professional rehabilitative nursing care.

After successful completion of an 8-hour training course, successfully passing the competency exam, a 16 hour classroom course, and an 80 hour orientation program, will certified as a state tested Nurse Aide.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM ), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work hours during training are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Willingness and ability to work in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA
  • Willingness to work a full-time permanent position for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM), with rotating days, weekends, and every other holiday (after certification is obtained on an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift in a classroom orientation)
  • Willingness to successfully complete an 8-hour online training course prior to hire and provide a certificate of completion
  • Work experience caring for geriatric or physically ill individuals
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
