This job involves supporting families and children in a county social services agency by handling tasks like transporting clients to appointments, providing basic information, and assisting with daily needs such as home care and distributing supplies.
It's a hands-on role focused on protecting children and preserving families through direct community interaction.
A good fit would be someone compassionate, reliable, and comfortable with routine public contact and clerical work, ideally with a high school education and local ties to Pennsylvania.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for scheduling, transporting and escorting clients to various appointments, foster homes, court hearings and for recreational purposes.
Communication is key as you will provide clients with basic information and contact those who fail to keep appointments.
You will have the opportunity to assist clients and families with the everyday activities of living, home maintenance and care.
This position distributes and delivers equipment, clothing and other belongings to clients and their families.
Additional duties include supervising children during office hours, performing routine clerical duties and maintaining care of waiting and visiting rooms.
