Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Data Center Manager in the Code 15 Data Center of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.

The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.

Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-13/14 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: maintaining budget and cost models, performing long range planning, leading inventory and the management of multiple data formats for a data center.

  • You will serve as an inventory manager, leading daily inventory tasks in the Code 15 Media Center.
  • You will utilize the Base Inventory Tracking System (BITS) and will be responsible for the filing and maintenance of all material tracked by the Code 15 Media Center to ensure an accurate inventory at all times.
  • You will conduct project planning, budget development, schedules, technical tracking and reporting, and financial tracking and reporting.
  • You will perform research to determine funding documentation requirements.
  • You will run inventory and transaction reports, troubleshoot/resolve transactions problems within Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • You will maintain facility safety and security compliance.
  • You will report to Department Leadership any new processes involving the media center items and develop new procedures accordingly.
