Full Job Description

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION (C03), COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST & EVAL DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing analyses of financial management programs to conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of resource allocation, budget execution, and business operations for providing advice to leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing the financial effectiveness of organizational missions.

  • You will serve in the Financial Management Branch, C031 as a Financial Team Lead.
  • You will support the C031 Financial Management Branch Manager in the Combat Systems, Test and Evaluation Department (C Dept), Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHO).
  • You will report and translate actions, both past and proposed, into meaningful and relevant information for use in the management process and the financial execution of the various areas.
  • You will organize, plan, schedule and prioritize the team members' workloads and maintains oversight of work accomplishment.
  • You will closely monitor the financial activities within the financial group/program analysts and provide training/guidance to all grade level program analysts.
  • You will develop a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses, obligations and current funding levels by comparison to submitted budget/task requirements and identifies program/tasks problem areas.
  • You will perform follow-up on financial actions (e.g. correspondence or logs) to ensure regulations are followed and time line are met.
