Summary

This entry-level job supports the Quality Management Department in a military medical facility by handling everyday office tasks like data entry, report creation, and meeting coordination.

About the Position: The incumbent performs a variety of administrative, technical, and clerical support functions for the Quality Management Department.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing support services, utilizing databases and SharePoint, and performing clerical or administrative tasks.

OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120.

Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).

Major Duties:

  • Provide a variety of administrative, technical, and clerical support functions for the Quality Management Department.
  • Gather, collate, input, and trend data from the Patient Safety Reporting system.
  • Assist with timely processing of applications in accordance with privileging policies and procedures.
  • Maintain information systems with accreditation and reporting information.
  • Generate reports, minutes, and compliance data metrics.
  • Coordinate of monthly meetings and respective schedules.
