This job involves providing front-desk and administrative support in a child and youth program on a military base in Alaska, including greeting visitors, managing registrations, handling phone calls, and using databases to track enrollments and daily activities.
It's a developmental role starting at entry-level and potentially advancing based on experience.
A good fit would be someone with office experience, strong customer service skills, and comfort working with children and families in a professional setting.
This position is with the Child and Youth Services Base at Fort Greely, AK. Mission and weather essential.
Rate of pay for an NF-02 will be $19.15- $24.89 per hour, NF-03 will be $45,100 - $56,349 per year or $21.61 to $27.00 hourly.
Child and Youth Services (CYS) Regular and FLEX employees (working a minimum of 15 hours) will receive a 100% discount on childcare for their first child and at least 25% for each additional child.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: NF-02 Qualifications: Experience working in an office setting which demonstrates skill in applying administrative and clerical procedures; customer service concepts; and communication techniques in a professional environment.
Experience using office automation to prepare documents, manage files, and maintain records.
Must have experience in using applications such as Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
NF-03 Qualifications: Experience working in a professional office setting which required administrative and clerical skill in managing filing systems and maintaining documents, such as attendance records and official correspondence.
Must possess experience demonstrating customer service and business communication skills.
Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of correct grammar and composition techniques needed to accurately prepare written material from a variety of sources.
Must possess demonstrated proficiency in using computers for various applications to include Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Windows, Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook).
Experience entering and maintaining information into automated databases. At least 1 year experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NF-02.
Highly Preferred candidates will have experience utilizing automated database systems (e.g. CYMS) for childcare operations.
