The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) is seeking to fill an Administrative Supervisor position in their Court & Field Services Division.
This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the court order operations team to include supervision, scheduling, and training for support staff.
The responsibility for this position also includes compiling, analyzing, and summarizing reports and acting as HCSO’s representative at regional civil process meetings.
The HCSO Civil Unit’s court order operations team is responsible for processing approximately 20,000 civil records and court orders annually.
Location and hours:
This position is located at the Hennepin County Public Safety Facility, 401 South 4th Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55415. This position may require working a flexible schedule including days, evenings, overnights, on-call, weekends, holidays, and may require being on call 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, and 365 days/year.

In this position, you will: - Manage and review the functions, procedures, and daily operations of the Civil Unit’s court order operations team.
- Select and develop staff, plan, and assign work, and evaluate employee performance.
- Assist with audits from state and federal partners.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the unit through feedback from other entities, supervisors, observation, and data analysis.
- Develop goals, objectives, and performance standards consistent with mission of the HCSO.
- Initiate and manage projects for improvements and technology.
- Attend and represent HCSO at meetings with other agencies and departments.
- Develop and coordinate trainings for new staff and engage in their professional development.
Need to have:- One of the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business or public administration or another field appropriate to the position and two years or more of administrative experience.
- Six years or more of administrative experience.
Nice to have:- One year or more of supervisory experience in criminal justice records management for a law enforcement agency or district/federal court.
- State of Minnesota Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate, manage conflict, and collaborate with many different levels of staff.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to handle extensive contact with staff, law enforcement agencies, crime victims, the judiciary, and the public.
- Ability to:
