Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading and supporting acquisition procurement activities; managing procurement data in acquisition systems, and/or advising program teams on contracting strategies, polices, and procedures to support IT programs.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will lead efforts to train and equip PEO Digital staff on innovative procurement techniques, tactics, and procedures. Execute expert coaching of procurement related tasks to requirement owners.
  • You will develop and enforce policies and processes which encourage optimal support to the PEO Digital portfolios in their delivery of their specific IT services.
  • You will ensure accuracy, validity, and currency of planned procurement information using the Acquisition Management System (AMS). Manage the Long-Range Acquisition Estimate (LRAE).
  • You will identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and procurement innovations to support the goals and objectives of PEO Digital and the US Navy.
  • You will provide contract planning through contract, market industry and technical trends analysis. Contract Connector to help match needs to available/optimal vehicles.
  • You will encourage usage of enterprise vehicles where business cases make sense (e.g. DoD ESI, DoN ESL, DoD CETA, etc.).
  • You will have Procurement Knowledge Management in content development and collection of best practices, templates, authoritative artifacts.
  • You will have experience Interagency acquisition, commercial contracting, and prototyping preferred.
  • You will have experience in Program/Project Management preferably in an IT environment.
  • You will have a Mastery of acquisition and procurement regulation, principles, policies, and procedures.
  • You will have the ability to lead and manage people in a diverse team and geographically separated.
  • You will participate in Agile practices and/or acquire an understanding of those practices.
