This position is located in the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Inspector General, Mission Support Team (MST) Component.
The office provides centralized administrative support services that contribute to efficient and effective component operations, the accomplishment of strategic goals and the attainment of organizational performance measures.
The incumbent executes a variety of analytical, and administrative day-to-day operations and services.
Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service.
For entry at the GS-13 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience: GS-0341-12: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent.
Specialized experience is defined as: at least two of the following: (1) Providing direct executive-level administrative support, evaluating existing administrative processes, and developing recommendations for improvements (2) Overseeing staff time and attendance; managing correspondence and presentation functions; developing request for personnel actions, award nominations, and performance management documents (3) Developing and executing budgets, using automated databases and systems to provide critical data for reports.
GS-0341-13: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent.

You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions: http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp.
Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social) is qualifying.
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience. Qualification and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants who have held a non-temporary General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the time-in-grade restriction.
