Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading financial teams and managing complex budgeting processes as part of a major Navy system upgrade called Navy ERP+, which handles money, supplies, and purchases for the military.

You'll analyze data, improve operations, and advise leaders to ensure everything runs smoothly and supports the Navy's goals.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-13 level or equivalent, focusing on financial management policies and Navy ERP+ budget procedures
  • Expertise in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules, including Finance, Funds Management, Controlling, Project System, and Material Management
  • Ability to lead teams of financial analysts and oversee complex financial operations
  • Skills in workload prioritization, performance metrics, and ensuring timely deliverables
  • Experience driving continuous improvement in business processes for efficiency, data accuracy, and audit readiness
  • Proficiency in complex financial data analysis, extraction, manipulation, and reporting from ERP and other systems
  • Strong advisory role to leadership on programs, resources, and Navy ERP+ migration as a change agent

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting financial management policies to develop and implement Navy ERP+. budget and execution procedures.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a key figure for Navy ERP+ migration. Navy ERP is the Navy single instance of SAP, used to manage financial, supply chain, and procurement processes.
  • You will lead a team of financial analysts, oversee complex financial operations, and advise leadership on the organization's programs and resources.
  • You will oversee workload prioritization and use metrics to optimize performance and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • You will serve as the financial lead and functional expert for Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules, including Finance, Funds Management, Controlling, Project System, Material Management etc.
  • You will represent NAVWAR Comptroller and the larger command as a primary Change Agent and expert for the Navy ERP+ transition.
  • You will drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing business processes to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and audit readiness in support of the warfighter and organizational priorities.
  • You will perform and oversee complex financial data analysis, including the extraction, manipulation, and reporting of data from Navy ERP and other financial systems to provide actionable insights.
