Full Job Description

You will serve as an Administrative Specialist for the Program Director of Trident Refit Facility (TRF), Bangor.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing facilities infrastructure to ensure structures, systems, utilities or equipment meets the needs of the workforce to support the strategic mission, extend functional facility life, and minimize lifecycle costs.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will provide facilities management of buildings under Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) cognizance.
  • You will support facility safety, security, energy efficiency, and emergency management responding to inquiries from all levels of management concerning facilities issues.
  • You will monitor and report status of facility maintenance, housekeeping, and room inspections for assigned buildings.
  • You will ensure any and all grounds and janitorial issues are reported to the Naval Base Kitsap Public Works Department (NBK PWD) for resolution.
  • You will conduct periodic building inspections.
  • You will ensure all identified requests for service work are per applicable instructions or the applicable service contracts.
  • You will work with managers and supervisors to help formulate facilities improvement plans and strategies, reviews, and comments on management proposals.
  • You will identify, resolve, and propose solutions to facility issues and present findings, options, and recommendations.
