The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Administrative Assistant and Office Manager to JWAC Director and Staff performing a wide range of functions in a highly classified, fast-paced organization supporting operational analysis.
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes serving as the Administrative Assistant and Office Manager as point of contact for communications, coordination, and information management, performing a wide range of functions in a highly classified, fast-paced organization supporting operational analysis and Research & Development.

OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.-OR -Successfully completed a Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement.

- Maintains knowledge of applicable instructions, policies, and regulations governing activities and determines or recommends need for evaluation or modification of existing policies and procedures.
- Manages task assignments and completions, evaluations, travel orders, travel cards, and executive management of schedules for senior leadership.
- Identifies the need for and prepares instructions, memos, and directives consistent with the director's policy; outlining new processes, procedures and/or corrective actions.
- Liaison in planning, coordinating, and executing all protocol for visits and public relations activities to include communication with higher headquarters.
- Maintain front office SharePoint content to support communication to JWAC staff. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
DO-0341-01: Serves as focal point for communications, coordination, and information management.
Utilizes knowledge and skill to proactively organize, oversee, and streamline staffing processes and maintain efficient front office coordination and support.
Interprets and advises on administrative policies, procedures, directives, and requirements and determines or recommends need for evaluation or modification of existing policies and procedures.
Prepares communications for dissemination to higher, lower, and adjacent activities.
Responsible for assisting in the development and publishing various routine and special SOPs for administrative operations.
Analyzes, evaluates and makes administrative recommendations concerning current or future operational issues that arise due to changes in policies, plans and/or required resources.
Manages task assignments and completions, evaluations, travel orders, travel cards and executive management of schedules for senior JWAC leadership.
Independently consolidates and finalizes information for various reports in accordance with established reporting procedures and informs leaders of important matters and deadlines.
Serves as the point of contact for VIP visits, inspections, conferences, ceremonies and briefings. Coordinates with higher headquarters and other personnel involved in such activities.
Prepares and collects analytical data and required documentation and formally briefs appropriate personnel to ensure totally coordinated trips, visits, and conferences.
Leads the development of new or modified work methods, management processes, staffing patterns, guidelines, and procedures supporting the JWAC director and front office staff.
Gathers, organizes, maintains and archives data, information, and records manually and through computer-based applications pursuant to established guidelines.
Manages correspondence and communicates organizational information to appropriate parties as required. Maintains JF SharePoint site content in support of communication to staff and efficient processes.
Responsible for supply inventory and other purchases necessary for Front Office staff. Serves as point of contact to ensure that all administrative related actions are carried through to completion.
