Full Job Description

You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Executive Secretariat of the Headquarters Marine Corps Department of Aviation (HQMC AVN) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and integrating an organization's key administrative programs (including fiscal, travel, and executive-level tasking) by independently using federal systems like DTS to analyze complex issues, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide authoritative advice to senior leadership.

GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing a variety of administrative duties by applying established rules and procedures to tasks such as preparing correspondence, processing travel documents in a system like DTS, tracking office tasks, and managing records.

  • You will coordinate and execute initial funds transfer, modifications as required, document commitment and obligation, and the final closeout, typically a multi-year process for each initiative.
  • You will establish, review, and validate reports, budgets, and annual closeouts for each fiscal year.
  • You will analyze administrative directives and orders issued by higher authority; develop for approval administrative instructions pertaining to the functioning and accomplishment of the mission.
  • You will serve as the administrator for the Defense Travel and Government Travel Credit Card program.
  • You will assist the Staff Secretary in tracking, assigning, and managing all tasks assigned to the Department of Aviation through multiple systems and networks.
