Job Description

Summary

This job as an Administrative Officer at the EPA's Alaska office involves handling day-to-day office tasks like planning procedures, managing priorities, and supporting teams with human resources and facilities needs.

Full Job Description

This position is in Region 10, Alaska Operations Office. About Region 10.

This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for the GS-07 level, you must have one of the following: 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level defined as executing administrative processes in an office environment; and prioritizing tasks and managing multiple priorities.

1 full year of graduate level education; or superior academic achievement (Superior Academic Achievement Definition); the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position equivalent combination of education and experience To qualify for the GS-09 level, you must have one of the following: 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level defined as coordinating and evaluating a range of administrative services for an organization; interpreting and applying administrative procedures, regulations, and processes; and serving as the point of contact for information for the administrative support personnel who service the organization.

master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B.

or J.D., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position equivalent combination of education and experience To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must have one of the following: 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level defined as interpreting administrative policies and implementing procedures to cover internal operations; compiling required documents and reviewing and tracking personnel actions; and monitoring the procurement of supplies, property, and services.

or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position equivalent combination of education and experience NOTE: 1 year of full-time undergraduate study is 30 semester or 45 quarter hours.

1 year of full-time graduate education is the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study; if that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours is considered 1 year of full-time study.

You will: Assist in the formulation of administrative plans, procedures, and implementation of administrative regulations to office staff and management for efficient operations.

Support personnel actions and coordinate materials for management review to provide materials within specified timeframes to the organizational staff and management.

Serve as point of contact for office property, procurement, transfers, and disposal of equipment to manage requests and maintain records for the office.

Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, records, briefing materials, and statistical and narrative material required to support the organization and it's mission.
