This position is in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Civilian Personnel Policy (ODASD (CPP)), Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (OASD (M&RA)), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (OUSD (P&R)).
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in: Applying knowledge of programs, policies, and services addressing the needs and challenges of civilian human capital management.
Managerial ability, leadership skills, and ability to work with top management and senior level officials.
Expert communication skills to make persuasive recommendations and negotiate proposals, compromises on opposing positions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume may not exceed two (2) pages.

Responsible for effective management pertaining to the day-to-day (e.g.
calendar management, administration, projects, tasks, travel coordination/major-congressional events) administration of staff programs.
Reviews correspondence addressed to or through the DASD (CPP) to ensure substantive and procedural quality, accuracy, consistency, and conformance with the DASD (CPP)'s policy and style preferences.
Provides critical support services, advice, and guidance on complex issues that are typically unprecedented with scope and objectives that often shift as the work progresses.
