Full Job Description

You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in NCIS Worldwide of NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service.

This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This job opportunity announcement has a first cut-off 50 applicants.

GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, managing and executing office budget and acquisitions; performing long-range planning in the areas of manpower, supplies, and equipment; managing investigative and administrative case files; and managing a government purchase card program.

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and executing an office budget; managing facilities maintenance; making recommendations in manpower levels; and using government purchase card for the procurement of equipment and supplies.

  • You will review completed staff actions (letters, memos, reports, studies, factsheets, information papers) for quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • You will develop statistical reports to brief management on budget program status.
  • You will write budget justification statements to validate funding requests for an organization.
