Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing property, logistics, and supply chains for the Navy's training systems, including hardware, software, and networks used in simulations and exercises worldwide.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/ TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the LIVE VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE TRAINING DIVISION, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing life cycle logistics and supply chain management activities to evaluate resource progress and develop logistics and property management processes and procedures for the improvement of organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as Property Manager/Accountable Property Officer for the NCTE including all software and hardware associated with the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network, Marine Training Enterprise Network and tactical range training systems.
  • You will conduct advanced Logistics planning requiring significant interaction and coordination with stakeholders to balance competing priorities including system security, customer requirements and resource constraints.
  • You will provide oversight of the property management and logistics team to support the inventory/auditing requirements and the maintenance of Navy Continuous Training Environment asset management databases.
  • You will manage inventory verifications at geographically dispersed host sites located worldwide and maintains a current list of Local Inventory Control Managers for host sites.
  • You will utilize performance measures to conduct forecasting and quantitative analysis, plan the distribution and positioning of assets among stock points and/or using activities.
  • You will develop Navy Continuous Training Environment Enterprise Logistics (NCTE) and Property Management Standard Operating Procedures and prepare Life Cycle Sustainment Plans.
