Requirements

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will oversee the clerical and administrative staff supporting several income maintenance units in two county locations.

You will provide guidance and direction regarding client eligibility determinations. You will also analyze administrative operations, policies, and procedures, and implement recommendations.

This role requires proven organizational skills and effective communication to perform public contact work in gathering information, resolving complaints, engendering support, and providing information.

In addition, you will requisition supplies, review terms of lease contracts, interact with landlords, prepare budget estimates and fiscal statistical reports, and serve as the Site Security Administrator, Personal Computer and Telecommunications Coordinator, and Electronic Benefit Transfer Systems Administrator.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel as needed
  • Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Montgomery County. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
