This position reports directly to the Executive Assistant to the System President and plays a vital role in supporting the Executive Office, the State Board, and the Chair of the SC Technical College System Council of Presidents.
The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of complex administrative tasks, including preparing agendas, organizing meetings, recording and distributing minutes, arranging travel, handling procurement, and managing policies and procedures.
Additionally, this position manages a broad range of essential administrative duties and serves as backup to the System Office Receptionist.
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Experience working in an executive and higher education environment is a plus.
Must possess a mastery of office skills, demonstrate initiative and sound judgment and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority.
Extensive knowledge/skills related to proofreading, grammatical rules, spelling, language and clerical formats coupled with a thorough knowledge of computer-based software programs for word and document processing are essential.
Works independently to accomplish daily tasks in a timely manner.
