Summary

Recruitment Number: OHHI-25156 - This vacancy is with the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, Homestead Services Division.


This recruitment is being conducted under the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, a targeted outreach initiative featuring an expedited hiring process, fast-tracking qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai’i.

Requirements

Assists in the maintenance of a domestic water distribution system; performs minor repairs of mains and pipelines; assists in the maintenance of water tanks and equipment; and performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:


LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK:

The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.


Experience and Training: (1) One year of work experience assisting in the maintenance and installation of pipelines and appurtenances; or (2) any equivalent combination of experience and training.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualification requirements, applicants must also possess:

Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

Special Requirements: Applicants must possess a valid Distribution System Operator's Certificate, Grade 1, at the time of application.
