This job involves operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant at a Marine Corps base in North Carolina, including checking equipment, handling chemicals, and treating industrial waste to keep things running smoothly and safely.
It's a hands-on role focused on routine tasks like removing debris and performing maintenance under supervision.
A good fit would be someone with practical experience in water treatment or similar technical work, who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with chemicals and machinery.
You will serve as a WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR in the Facilities Maintenance Department of MCAS Cherry Point, NC.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
