Full Job Description

This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, Office of Foreign Policy.

As the Vice President, Office of Foreign Policy, you will be responsible for leading the Office of Foreign Policy and serving as the principal foreign policy advisor to DFC leadership.

You may qualify at the SL-00 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience related to this position.

This experience must be at or above the GS-15 grade level or equivalent.

Your resume must reflect experience: 1) serving as a key liaison/agency representative with the interagency and foreign governments, to advance U.S.

Government foreign policy initiatives on political, economic, and/or national security issues; 2) supervising a team of foreign policy experts; and 3) briefing/working closely with Front Office leadership.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This announcement may be used to fill similar positions, if additional vacancies occur. Major Duties:

Serves as an advisor to the Chief of Staff, providing input and advice on a wide range of foreign policy issues, assuming responsibility for ensuring appropriate DFC responses and leadership for special activities, and representing DFC leadership's views, goals and preferences to staff, external stakeholders, other agencies, and especially Administration officials.

Leads and manages the Office of Foreign Policy, the Agency's foreign policy team. Represents DFC to foreign government officials, congressional staff, the press, and other external stakeholders.

Represents the Chief of Staff and works with key agency personnel to integrate department and special project objectives with DFC's strategic goals and the priorities of DFC leadership.

Works with DFC officials to facilitate desired outcomes and to align activities, processes, and resources to support accomplishment of those outcomes.

Develops information, analyzes problems, makes recommendations, and reports results and conclusions to the Chief of Staff. Represents the Agency on intra- or inter-agency studies or task forces.
