This role involves helping veterans and their families in Snohomish County by assessing their needs, providing emergency financial aid like vouchers, and connecting them to benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and local services.
It also includes outreach to veterans in jail or remote areas and supporting them in building self-sufficient lives.
A good fit would be someone compassionate with experience in social services, strong interviewing skills, and knowledge of veteran support systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The work is performed in the usual office environment with trips to locations throughout the county to provide outreach to housebound veterans and to attend community meetings as necessary.
