Vehicle Operations Coordinator
The Department of Administration's (Admin) Division of State Agency Support Services, State Fleet Management (SFM) is responsible for centralized oversight of a comprehensive statewide fleet management program of all state-owned fleet vehicles for the state of South Carolina. State Fleet Management is growing and are now seeking a Vehicle Operations Coordinator to join the team. In this role you will coordinate training to certify employees from various agencies for the State Fleet Driver's Training as required by the SC Fleet Safety Program, to provide driver education for all state vehicle operators. This position is also responsible for training and tracking activities that support state agencies and provides strategic direction regarding processes and personnel.
This position is onsite in Columbia, SC.
Responsibilities of the Vehicle Operations Coordinator:
Coordinate and facilitate all driver's training classes provided by State Fleet Management.
Be a subject matter expert on telematics reporting, outreach, updates and training for State Fleet, leasing partners and all state agencies in need of assistance.
Obtain Lead Instructor certification for the AAA Driver Improvement Program and conduct certification and recertification courses. Ensure state agencies are in compliance with Fleet Safety Program and coordinate tracking of all certified instructors within the state training system.
Obtain Learning Management System administrator certification to assist user agencies with onboarding, coordination with SCEIS and quarterly reports of training due.
Coordinate all complaints and FOIA's presented to State Fleet. Ensure all complaints and FOIA's are documented, investigated and completed as required.
Collect and compile quarterly accident reports for presentation to team lead.
Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.Additional Requirements:- Complete understanding of the laws and policy directives related to the South Carolina Fleet Safety Program.
- Strong organization skills used in planning, coordinating and executing training required by the Fleet Safety Program.
- Certification, or willingness to become certified, as an AAA Driver Improvement Program Instructor and Lead Instructor.
- Ability to present instruction to groups in classroom setting.
- Knowledge and comfort with computer systems and ability to become proficient in fleet management software, training software and vehicle oversight systems.
- Position may require overnight travel.
- Position may require employee to work evenings and weekends.
- Position requires routine driver duties.
- Position requires frequent lifting: 40 lbs.
- Position requires up-to-date certification(s).
- Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations and hazardous weather events.
