Requirements

As a Van Driver, you will often be the first point of contact for community members, helping to foster a positive image of our local government services. Your efforts will significantly contribute to enhancing community engagement and delivering essential services effectively. Within this role, you will be responsible for transporting consumers to a variety of scheduled appointments and daily programs. A friendly and personable nature will help you successfully establish effective working relationships with the individuals served. You will be responsible for maintaining all statistical information regarding travel logs and providing basic maintenance repairs such as checking all fluids daily.

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours vary, Monday through Friday.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Conditions of Employment:

  • No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
