In this position, you will perform skilled work in the daily operation and maintenance of steam boilers and auxiliary equipment to produce steam that ensures reliable heat and hot water for hospital operations.
Responsibilities include maintaining an uninterrupted supply of heat and hot water for the main facility and associated buildings.
You will collaborate with utility plant staff to operate boilers and related equipment, such as pumps, fans, turbines, ash handling systems, and air compressors, while continuously producing steam and regulating system pressures throughout the power house.
Additionally, you will oversee work assignments, demonstrate proper work methods, and review completed work to ensure compliance with established standards.
You will also be responsible for enforcing all applicable safety policies, regulations, laws, rules, and procedures required in the power house.
This role requires sole shift responsibility, managing overtime call-offs, and responding effectively to emergency situations.
