Job Description
Summary
This job involves inspecting construction projects for roads and transportation infrastructure, performing surveys, collecting samples, and preparing reports to ensure everything meets standards.
It also includes maintaining equipment, assisting with project estimates, and training newer staff.
A good fit would be someone detail-oriented with hands-on experience in construction or inspection work, comfortable working outdoors in tough conditions and able to lift heavy items.
Key Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of related experience in construction, inspection, or engineering support
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable walking extended periods on rough terrain and working near moving traffic
- Willingness to work outside normal hours, including weekends, and in environmental hazards
- Proficiency in operating survey equipment and conducting construction verification surveys
- Skills in report writing, data collection, and using tools like SiteManager for project estimates
