The Opportunity
Washington State Ferries (WSF), a division of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), is currently seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support the System Electrification Program, a critical initiative advancing the modernization and sustainability of Washington’s ferry fleet and terminal infrastructure.
This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside marine engineering professionals and contribute to projects that support safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible ferry operations.
The intern will assist with engineering documentation, program coordination, and project support activities that help keep electrification efforts on schedule and aligned with statewide transportation goals.
This role provides valuable hands-on experience while directly contributing to WSF’s mission of delivering dependable ferry service and advancing the future of clean maritime transportation.
