About the Position: This position is at NMCSD. This position is working from an office in close proximity to their assigned training program.

It will require the employees to provide administrative support to the residents or fellows assigned to the program, including completion of various forms to support resident training requirements and administrative support.

the employee will be required to walk to various departments for routing of administrative paperwork and the approval process.

GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining a short-term and long-term academic calendar; performing duties pertaining to file management, correspondence, records management, and travel orders/vouchers; compiling, proof reading, and posting course-related material.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Major Duties:

  • Develop products that maintain effectiveness and consistency with training standards and accreditation requirements as published by local, regional, and national organizations/commands
  • Promote and develop policies, procedures, and Standard Operations Procedures for individual programs.
  • Verify candidate eligibility by verifying compliance with published higher-level authority, arranging interviews, and assembling application materials.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all Graduate Medical Education (GME) informatics systems and ensure program and trainee information in professional and accrediting applications is kept current.
  • Develop and manage the operational training budget of the training program and computer based training.
  • Ensure administrative functions are performed IAW established policies, practices, and applicable regulations.
