THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D3024000 and is part of the HI 154 MOF, National Guard.
LOCATION: 154th Maintenance Operations Flight, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii If your resume does not include a narrative description of how you meet the GENERAL, SPECIALIZED experiences, and OTHER requirements, you may lose consideration for this position.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant's demonstrated ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise validate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade.
Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures.
Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures.
Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies.
Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts.
Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: 1.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. 2.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 3.
May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments. 4.
Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5.
The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory. 6.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position 7.
Dual-status positions require military membership and adherence to professional development requirements, including training and certifications, to ensure readiness and compliance with National Guard standard.
MILITARY TECHNICIAN COMPATIBILITY POSITION: Prior to placement in this position, the selected applicant must be assigned to an appropriate military position and must meet the definition of a dual status technician in accordance with 32 U S C 709.
COMPATIBLE AFSC (AIR): 3F271 NOTES TO CANDIDATES: a.
Situations of inversion of military rank are not permitted, i.e., a military technician may not be militarily senior to his or her full-time supervisor. b.
Authorization for payment of PCS expenses may be granted only after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Hawaii National Guard. c.

Selectee may be scheduled for formal training at the Professional Education Center (PEC) within the first six months of employment.
Unless there are extenuating circumstances, failure to complete National Guard Bureau prescribed courses at PEC within the first year of employment, may be cause for reassignment to other full-time positions or termination of employment.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The primary purpose of this role is to evaluate and manage the training and education program on behalf of the ANG.
The incumbent provides overall oversight and management of the training and educational program, ensuring training compliance, readiness, and career development support across multiple units.
The position serves as a liaison between the units they support and the Force Support Squadron (FSS) Force Development Office (FDO), which is the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for training programs.
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with the Personnel Services Delivery Guide (PSDG) to ensure standardization and compliance with established policies and procedures.
Oversees Group Training Programs and Subordinate Unit Compliance. Coordinates Career Development Course (CDC) and Upgrade Training Oversight.
Conducts Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs) and Evaluates Unit Training Programs. Manages Formal Schools and Distance Learning Integration.
Supports Commander-Level Board Processes and Force Development Initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
