Job Description

Summary

This job involves delivering training sessions on law enforcement skills, such as investigative techniques, firearms safety, and emergency procedures, to help maintain high performance levels in a Marine Corps police department.

You'll also organize courses, develop learning objectives, and build connections with other agencies to ensure up-to-date instruction.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Provost Marshall Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARFORRES NOLA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Presenting formal and informal instruction on basic mathematics and electronics theory; and, reviewing course materials for effectiveness, technical accuracy and compliance with directives/methodologies.

  • You will conduct lectures, discussions, guided conferences and demonstration methods to present law enforcement, investigative techniques, procedures and practical application sessions.
  • You will assist with organizing, scheduling and coordinating training courses that maximize individual competencies or maintain performance levels.
  • You will develop Performance Objectives and Standards to aide in identifying training needs and requirements of each student; ensure the knowledge and skills are developed in current concepts and techniques in Law Enforcement and Security.
  • You will provide classroom studies and instructions on use of law enforcement equipment and application of techniques.

  • You will coordinate, develop and maintain effective relationship with the training community of various Federal, state and local law enforcement, intelligence and security agencies.
  • Provide instruction in First Aid/CPR/AED, Emergency Vehicle Operation, Active Shooter and other law enforcement requirements; instruct in Firearms safety and conduct the Weapons Qualification; test for weapons proficiency.
