The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to 688th Cyberspace Wing Training Office.
Oversees the Wing's training program for 3200 military and civilian personnel. Develops and promulgates policy and governing guidance for Wing organizations education and training requirements.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS).
The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level.
The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.
Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of training principles, concepts, and methods; as well as wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to develop cyberspace and intelligence training programs.
knowledge of the AF Training inspection/evaluation methodologies in order to manage, develop, and implement a Training assessment program for oversight, adherence to DOD policies and standards.
Knowledge of federal organizations, agencies, and Department of Defense (DoD), involved with and responsible for Cyber policy formulation and implementation as it applies to USAF Cyber missions.
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of training principles, concepts, and methods; as well as wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to develop cyberspace and intelligence training programs. 2.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 4.
Knowledge of federal organizations, agencies, and Department of Defense (DoD), involved with and responsible for Cyber policy formulation and implementation as it applies to USAF Cyber missions. 5.
Knowledge of the AF Training inspection/evaluation methodologies in order to manage, develop, and implement an 688 CW Training assessment program for oversight, adherence to DOD policies and standards.
6. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the 688 Cyberspace Wing, ensuring that all Wing Training requirements comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
DUTY 2: Develops and maintains millions of dollars in long range planning and budget training estimates to support the Wing training and education requirements.
Authorizes expenditures of funds, commits and obligates funding requirements and reconciles monthly financial reports and documents.
DUTY 3: Manages the 16the Air Force (16 AF) Cyber Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) program.
Directs the gathering, compilation and analysis of APDP data from multiple Department of Defense (DoD) and AF acquisition databases to identify and deconflict any certification or compliance issues.
DUTY 4: Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignment in consideration of skills, qualifications, and mission requirements.
Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards.
