Job Description

Summary

This job involves operating a tractor and related equipment at a golf course in summer and a ski area in winter, handling tasks like digging, mowing, planting, and clearing land while performing basic maintenance.

Full Job Description

This position is located at Chena Bend Golf Course during the summer season and Birch Hill Ski and Snowboard area in the winter.. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Applicant must have one year related experience in operating and performing minor maintenance on a field-type tractor and associated equipment.

Applicants must have and retain valid driver's license. May be required to obtain a Government motor vehicle operator's permit.

Must have knowledge of tractor and equipment operating characteristics such as tractor gears, power ratios, braking and turning capacities, and equipment power requirements, capacities and operating speeds.

Must be able to manipulate the tractor and equipment controls at the same time. Major Duties:

  • Plans the order in which work is to be accomplished; transports materials and equipment; and digs, loads, plants, clears, mows and dispenses liquid and solid materials.
  • Performs minor maintenance on field-type tractors and attached and towed equipment.
  • Adjusts the equipment for job requirements such as setting the height of mower blades, depth of plow blades, and the rate of application of sprayer attachments
  • May operate under different conditions, such as mud, snow, and areas where trees and shrubs present operational hazards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
