Job Duties:

The Therapeutic Services Coordinator under the supervision of the Regional Well-Being Manager, plans, organizes and coordinates the operation of therapeutic funding and the Interagency System for Caring for Emotionally Disturbed children (ISCEDC).

Ensures that needed therapeutic services are provided in a timely manner and problem solves barriers. Maintains working relationships with other service providers.


Approves, coordinates and facilitates Interagency meetings for children in need of therapeutic support services, including ISCEDC staffing's.

Monitors approval and delivery of services to children with identified therapeutic and special needs. Ensures all state and federal child welfare requirements are met.


Develops and maintains a close working relationship with foster care and family preservation staff and service providers to ensure the appropriate delivery of services, including but not limited to treatment planning meetings.

Participates in any variation of child and family team meetings as requested.


  • Partners with the placement services division regional leadership to expedite and coordinate initial approvals for specialized funding placements.

Assumes a leadership role in working with foster care and family preservation staff to ensure identified treatment services are put in place in a timely manner.

Assists with problem solving barriers to treatment, placement disruptions, identification of placements and crisis planning. Assists with gathering information for placement identification.


  • Documents therapeutic determination and ISCEDC staffing's and initial approvals in CAPSS and provides recommendations for appropriate services and supports.

  • Participates in region-wide on-call system to respond to emergencies.

  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.

  • Performs other job duties as required.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services or public administration.

A Master's Degree and two (2) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services or public administration.
