This job involves leading fun and engaging activities for veterans living in a Pennsylvania home, helping them stay active, social, and independent in their daily lives.
You'll plan outings, run sessions to boost their confidence and skills, and escort them to events like parties or dinners.

The employee in this position conducts planned sessions of resident activities under the direction of Therapeutic Recreational Services staff that will lead residents of the Pennsylvania Soldier' and Sailors' Home to their highest level of physical, cognitive, and social abilities.
As part of an this interdisciplinary team, the Therapeutic Actives Worker assists in planning, organizing, scheduling and conducting recreational and educational activities and outings to enhance or retain the residents’ functionality in the areas of: socialization, interpersonal relationships, self-respect, self-esteem, and self help, as well as provide transportation/escort residents to and from programs and activities such as social parties, dances, dinners.
