Requirements

In this position, you will plan and implement therapeutic activities for assigned clients, including physical, vocational, self-help, audio-visual, personal hygiene and grooming, social and community training programs, and environmental excursions.

You will deliver these activities through both individual and group interactions, following established program plans while encouraging participation and providing guidance to help each client gain maximum benefit.

You will apply sound judgment in carrying out therapeutic activity components of individualized program plans, contributing to the overall treatment, development, and habilitation goals of our residents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your work schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel: As needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
